Using EE for SEO
There are A LOT of misconceptions and unreliable information out on the web re: SEO. Especially the assumption that good SEO comes from content alone. Good content is not the only driver of SEO. While content is still a key driver for search optimization, there are a number of techniques which make sure that search (and social) can better understand your content and get it in front of the right people. This session will offer high level best practices for ensuring a website is optimized for search and how to manage those elements smartly in EE and why building SEO from a site's foundation is an essential component for SEO Success.
I have been building websites since the mid-90s when I first logged on to the web as a young teenager with America Online on a 14.4k modem and only one phone line in the house. After many years of busy signals and nobody being able to get through to my parents’ landline, I made a career from this obscure talent, which has now taken the world by storm.
I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and divide my time between Conflux Group, my web development firm, and a large nonprofit organization where I manage a web marketing team.
My passion lies in marrying well-architected code with stunning design and effective, measurable marketing techniques to help businesses to communicate and connect with customers online.
When not building the internet, I spend my time honing my culinary skills in the kitchen, overcommitting to exhausting home improvement projects or sleeping.
